A Semi- Detailed Lesson Plan in Philippine History

I. OBJECTIVE:
At the end of the lesson the students can:
a. Differentiate the different revolts;
b. Describe the struggles of different revolts through dramatization;
c. Relate the struggles of different revolts in current situation.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


Topic: Struggles for Right and Freedom
Materials: Laptop, projector (PowerPoint presentation)
References: Philippine History book 2014 edition

III. PROCEDURE:

A. Review
 Ask the class about the previous lesson.

B. Motivation
 Present an image of revolution and let the class to define
it using 5 words.

C. Activities
 Let the class to read the printed information using
PowerPoint presentation.
 Call the students randomly to elaborate his or her
understanding about what they been read in every slide.
 Discuss the different revolts in struggles for right and
freedom.

D. Abstraction
 There are different revolts in the Philippines that strives to
get the freedom from other countries colonization, like
during Spanish colonization many revolts had been built
and tried to fight the Spaniards. There are:

First Pampanga Revolt (1585)

Magalat´s Revolt, Cagayan (1596)

E. Application
 Group the class into 4, let each group to write their
insights using this question. “As a student, how you value
the different struggles for rights and freedom?”
F. Assessment
 Ask the students to get a ½ lengthwise sheet of paper and
let them answer the questions.
