GNEET (Goenkan National Engineering

EligibilityTest) 2020
GNET is a university level common entrance test for admission to School of Engineering,
GD Goenka University for the various UG and PG programmes. Goenkan National
Engineering Test for Admission or GNET analyses students in terms of Analytical and
Logical Reasoning skills, Mathematics, English Language, Scientific and General
Knowledge. Alongside admission, this exam also  as a scholarship test. Exceptional
performing candidates will be considered for scholarship of up to Rs 5 lakhs (in terms of fee
waiver). GNEET this year will be conducted on remotely proctored online platform and the
university has created centres in more than 100 cities across India. Based on the performance
in GATA 2020, the candidates will be selected for personal interview. The interviews will be
conducted by respective departments through online mode, following which the students will
be granted admission.

GNEET 2020 Exam Dates:

Due to Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, as per the notifications of central and state
governments, it is safe to stay at home. Therefore, this year has Conducted an
online exam for the students.

General Guidelines for Remotely Proctored Online Exam


The remote proctoring entrance test module employs a robust, easy-to-use and
secure exam platform. The system configuration and requirements are as under:

 Remote proctoring module will require a proper internet connection of


minimum 1 Mbps.
 It will also require a working web camera and audio connection.
 It will require a proper lighted room to capture proper pictures during the
exam.
 Login Key will be provided prior to the exam.
 Prior to the exam, the applicants will be accustomed with the entire
process, infrastructure requirements and other important information to
appear in the online test.
 The remote monitoring by the proctors will be to ensure the smooth
conduct and efficacy of the test.

GNEET 2020 Syllabus

The pattern of question paper will be multiple choice questions.


Exam will be of 90 minutes duration.

For B. Tech Admission: The syllabus will be


The test will be of 100 marks comprising of two sections:
Section A comprising of:
English-20 questions
General aptitude -20 questions

Section B comprising of:


Physics -20 questions
Chemistry-20 questions
Mathematics -20 questions

For Other than B. Tech courses


Diploma/BCA Admission the paper will be of 60 marks comprising of one
section:
General Aptitude: 15 Question
Science (10 level): 15 Questions
Mathematics: 15 Questions
English: 15 Questions

Eligibility Criteria for GNEET:


 Pass with 60%* aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics,
Mathematics and English).
 GNEET will be exempted in case student has scored more than or equal
to 85 percentile in JEE Mains or 85% aggregate marks in 10+2.

* 10% relaxation to GD Goenka School students.

Result Declaration:
After the successful completion of the exam, the result will be declared for
various courses.
The candidates will able to check their results through online mode on the
university website.
The result will also be sent on the candidate’s registered email Id.
