INSTALLING THE MACHINE

TRANSPORTATION
The transportation to the place where the machine is going to be placed can be done with the help of a
fork lift truck or other similar apparatus. The machine is equipped with proper hooks for that purpose. Your
machine is fully tested by our technicians before leaving our factory – although, some damage may
eventually occur during the shipment to your facilities. Please notify us if this should happen.

PLACEMENT
This machine is mobile, so when placing your machine no foundation is required, even though you should
choose a solid pavement to operate. The machine should work properly levelled.

POWER SUPPLY
Your machine is supplied with 380 V, 50 Hz (may change from country to country - check the sticker on
the electric cabinet)
The supply lines are L1, L2, L3 + N + PE terminals (depending on the models)
When installing the machine make sure it is properly grounded for a better protection of the operating
personnel.

To check if the electric connection is properly made:

1- Turn on the machine, (make sure emergency switches are deactivated),
2- Go to Manual mode and push the green Button, try to turn the head.
3- If he didn’t rotate, change the connections of L1 and L2 terminals on the plug.

SECURITY

On all modes the machine is equipped with a electric sensor placed inside the bending head to
avoid the rotation past 213 degrees*(clockwise) or 0º (anti clockwise): if this value is passed the machine
will automatic stop preventing eventual damages on the machine or injuries on the operator.
Three emergency buttons are placed on strategic points of the machine easily reachable by the
operator.

* On special cases and with customer’s agreement it is possible to increase this value in order to
obtain tighter radius.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

For every bending problem there is always the right solution: do not hesitate in consulting us. We
are sure the CN1 model will be the right choice for your bending jobs.

MAINTENANCE
AMOB machines are manufactured in such a way they do not demand any special care from its operating
personnel. However, keep in mind some simple procedures to ensure a long lasting life to your machine.

ATTENTION: all of the operations below indicated must be performed with the machine disconnected from
the power supply.

CLEANING
All parts of the machine should be carefully cleaned. Every week a deep cleaning should be made
preventing dust to get into the mechanisms: dust deteriorates these elements and therefore its functioning.

LUBRICATION
Another important aspect to making good bends is lubrication.
Lubrication comes in several different forms such as oil,- grease, and paste. The kind of lubrication used
will depend on the material of the tube to be bent. A generous amount of lubrication may be applied to
the mandrel and the inside of the tube, however precautions should be taken to avoid getting any
lubrication on the bend die and clamp die. The amount applied will determine whether or not a good bend
is made.

ROLLER BEARINGS REPLACEMENT

Roller bearings are made to last a pre-set average time life of 10 000 hours of work: they should be replaced
every time this limit expires or when a defect is detected on its regular functioning.

ELECTRIC MAINTENANCE
Every six months, electric boards and switches of the engine should be carefully cleaned with a dry brush
or blown. All electric plugs should be checked and tightened firmly.

SPARE PARTS
When ordering any part, please specify all details according to the drawings on this manual so that we can
answer your demand correctly. Please consult the parts list, for your specific machine.

responsible for installation, operation, maintenance and service of the machine should read and follow the
procedures below mentioned In order to protect the personnel and the equipment from injury or damage.

1. Make sure you understand the instructions and program manuals.

2. Cleaning the movable components of the machine, as well as its maintenance, should be performed
always with the machine unplugged from its power supply;
3. Do not open the electric switchboard with the machine turn on; turn off the main switch before cleaning
the machine and its accessories;
4. Operators should keep their hands away from the rollers when the machine is operating;
5. For better safety conditions special shoes are to be used (steel toe cap);

switches or electric contacts with wet hands;
7. In the event of a power failure, turn the main switch off immediately;
8. The position of the emergency stop buttons should be so well known that it can be activated without
looking at it;
9. Make sure it is possible to move freely around the machine and associated equipment - the floor around
it should also be kept dry and clean and the surrounding area well illuminated in such a way that work
can be performed safely;
10. Personnel, tools or materials must not be present or placed in the sweep area of the tube, considered
the cutting length of tube +1 meter in bending, rotating and longitudinal-feed movements;
11. Do not change the parameters or other pneumatic, electrical or hydraulic settings;
12. All electrical cables must be well protected from becoming damaged. Always check their insulation. Do
not dirty, scratch or remove the warning signs;
13. Check safety equipment, such as safety covers, emergency stop button, safety mats, railing, light
