Training Program Details 

Dear friends,  

Now  a  day  we  see  an  increasing  number  of people who willingly give up modern city life in favour 

of  an  alternate  lifestyle. In  this process,  some  form  small communities  where likeminded  people 
can  live   a  mutually  fulfilling   life.  Among  these  communities,  the  core  concept  usually  is  –  self 
sufficiency.  This  self  sufficiency  is  clearly  possible only by  co­existential  living  with nature, people 
and  eco­system  around.  Until  there  is dependence on any external resource, creation of any new 
community  based   on  alternative  lifestyle  may  not  be  possible.  We  feel  that  such  co existential 
living with the eco system around us is possible only if we incorporate farming as the main activity, 
as a way of living itself.  

Wherever  new  civilizations  or communes have developed across the world, it is always agriculture 

based.  But we see that in  modern times, due to commercialization of agriculture, distortions have 
occurred  in  these  civilizations/communes.  These  distortions  can  only  be  eliminated  by 
incorporating farming in daily life rather than considering it as a commercial activity.  

In India, there are  many farmers who are using and studying traditional systems of farming.  There 

are  others  who  are  studying  modern  methods  of  organic/natural  farming.  But  there  is a lack  of 
information and facilities for learning organic / natural farming in an organised way.  

At  Krushi  Teerth  Bajwada,  we  invite  people  who  are  earnest  about  farming  as  a  means  of 
livelihood  which  is  not  in  conflict  with  the  rest  of  the  ecosystem.  We  want  Krushi  Teerth to be 
such  a  place  where  anyone  can  come,  stay  and  learn  how  they  can  live  a  life   of  mutual 
co­operation and co­existence.   

What is Krushi Teerth? 

Krushi  Teerth  is  an  Ashram  run  by  Malpani  Trust,  where  Amrut Krushi  is  being  practised  for  the 
last   five  years.  Currently  there  is  one  family  permanently  residing  at  the  ashram  living   an 
agriculture­centred  lifestyle.  The  ashram has seven acres of land where different experiments are 
being conducted  for  optimising farm production with zero external inputs.  These experiments are 
specifically beneficial for marginal farmers and small land holders.   

The  Ashram  is  also  a  study  facility  where  various  people  can  come,  stay,  study  about  different 
aspects of  farming,  environmental issues  etc. which  helps open new vistas  of  thought  and  action 
for  them.  Training  sessions  happen  from  one  day  to  six  months.   Hundreds  of  people  have 
attended  the  program  till  now   and  have  adopted  the  learning  from  here  in  their  own farm.  In 
future,  we  wish  that  the  ashram  does  not  remain  just  a  place  of  study  for  a   few  individuals  or  
families,  but  rather  grow  into  a  study facility  for a larger  mass audience.  People who keep a keen 
interest  on  natural/environmental  issues,  and  who  are  interested  in  living  a  life  of   mutual 
co­existence  with  Eco  system  at  large   are  invited  to  the Ashram  to  learn the  methods  here  and 
also  to  share  their  methods  and  experiences. ​ We  provide Vegan food only  and no drinking even  
soft drink­smoking on the farm 

 
 

Uniqueness of Amrut Krushi 

Amrut  Krushi  a  farming  system/science  ,  is  a  way  of  farming,  which while incorporating  certain 
good aspects  of  organic  farming,  goes  much  beyond  organic  farming both  in terms  of philosophy 
and science.  Some basic practices: 

­ The land is not tilled or ploughed 
­ No use of pesticides (even organic pesticides) 
­ No violence on insect or animals, not even using repellents 
­ Efficient utilization of sunlight biomass and water 

Who is eligible?  

Anyone of  any  age,  gender,  caste, creed,  colour,  nationality  and financial status, literate, illiterate 

who has desire to learn Natueco science can attend. 

How to get involved? 

Krushi  Teerth  is open  to  all  nature lovers  and  people  who believe in  eco­friendly  living.  We have 
some minimum basic principles ­  

­ People  who  are  coming  just  as visitors for some hours are welcome (no expectations from 

them in terms of money) 
­ Apart  from  training  and  learning  the  trainees  are  expected  to  do  all  physical  activity 
connected to the Ashram activities 
­ The trainees need to finance their own food, stay and training expenses as follows: 
o 3 day   ­       Rs. 3,000/­ 
o 5 days –      Rs. 5,000/­  
o 15 days –    Rs. 7,500/­ 
o 1 month –   Rs. 10,000/­ 
o 3 months – Rs. 27,000/­  
o 6 months –  Rs. 36,000/­  
o  1 year –       Rs. 54,000/­

­ It  is  our  intention  to  reward  you  for  your  physical  effort  and  contribution  in developing 
prosperity for the Ashram.  
­ You  are  welcome  to  visit the  Ashram  at  your  convenience. Please ensure that your  arrival 
has been communicated to the Ashram before hand to ensure your and our convenience.  
­ For  three  to  one  year  training  period  you  have to deposit  Rs.  5000/­ which  will  be  given 
back on completing the course without the brake. 

Location  ​ –  Bajwada  is  a  small  village  on  the  banks  of  the  river  Narmada. The  nearest  bigger 
village is  Nemawar.  There are no  hotels  either in Nemawar or Bajwada and you will be invited 
to stay in the farm. Facilities are basic, but comfortable. 

 
  

How to get here? 

Buses  –  From  Indore you  will  get bus  from  NAVLAKHA and Nemawar is 130 Km.  From Bhopal 

you  will  get  bus  from   (ISBT) Central  Depot  in front  of  Sanchi  Dairy.  Nemawar is  140Km  from 
here.  Get  off  at  Nemawar   and  inform  at  the  farm  and  we  will  arrange  to  receive  you.  At 
Nemawar wait at the Tea shop just opposite the temple. 

Nearest  Railway stations  are  ​

Harda  (nearest)  on  Central  Railways  line  and  ​ Itarsi on Southern 
Railway.  From  here  you  can  get  to  the  farm  by  bus  or  taxi.  Advisable  is  to  have connected 
train to come up to Harda. 

Nearest  airports  are Indore and Bhopal from where you would get to Nemawar by bus or taxi. 

The journey  is about 3  ­4  hours.  Taxis  should  cost  Rs.  2100/  to  2500/­  and  would take to you 
directly to farm. 

Harda  –  A  taxi  from Harda costs about  Rs 500.  RIKSHAW  Rs.  350/­but  needs  to  be booked in 
advance and would take you all the way to the farm. Or you  can take a bus to Nemawar. Buses 
to  Indore  also  stop  in  Nemawar.  Farm  is  at   Bajwada  which  is  5  Km.  from  Nemawar.  On 
intimation  9826054388  –  9329570960  we  will  receive  you,  or  now  public  transport  is   also 
started rickshaw and Jeep.  The journey by foot is about 30 minutes. 

Itarsi  –  A taxi from  Itarsi  costs  about  Rs. 1700/­  and  is available at station and would take you 

all  the  way  to  the  farm.  Or  you  can  come  to  Harda station  by the next train and take a bus to 
come to Nemawar. 

It’s  easy to get  convenient  overnight trains from Mumbai and Delhi to Harda via Khandwa and 

Itarsi on central railway.
