Q2:- CPEC is a game changer in the region “What is your opinion”?

What is CPEC?

China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a collection of infrastructure projects

that are under construction throughout Pakistan since 2013.
• Originally valued at $46 billion.
• The value of CPEC projects is worth $62 billion as of 2017.

Purpose: CPEC is intended to rapidly upgrade Pakistan's required infrastructure

• strengthen its economy
• by the construction of modern transportation networks,
• numerous energy projects, and
• special economic zones

CPEC is a game changer? My Opinion?

CPEC is the centerpiece of China’s BRI vision and it is worth mentioning here that it is
one of the most important, game-changing projects ever undertaken in the history of
Pakistan.

Both countries are now jointly collaborating towards the unified development of CPEC
projects for the economic and social development of some of their most underserved
regions.

It’s some targets which would be achieved in near future are

1st Target 2020: Period of market cultivation, major bottlenecks to Pakistan’s economic
and social development.

2nd Target 2025: Period of expansion and development especially of manufacturing.

3rd Target 2030: Period of maturity ML1, connecting with Iran, Afghanistan and in
Pakistan connecting Western and Eastern Corridor.
Some Benefits that CPEC brings to Pakistan

1. Lahore Line Metro Train

Lahore Line Metro Train promises to connect the vast city of Lahore from one
end of the city to the other end. A One-Of-A-Kind project, funded by China, this
train line will drastically improve Pakistan’s infrastructure and will cater to
250,000 passengers on a daily basis. The train was recently trialed and is due to
be completed in a matter of months.

2. 30,000 direct job opportunities created in power and infrastructure sectors

for Pakistanis

Specifically, 5,000 jobs have been formed at Port Qasim Coal Power Project and
It is estimated that around 800,000 employment opportunities will be available in
the next two decades, owing to the diversity and nature of the ever-expanding
projects and investments of CPEC.

3. 2.5% projected annual growth for Pakistan via CPEC

The projects being undertaken in CPEC are promising to help boost the GDP of
Pakistan to 7.5% . It has been estimated the introduction of CPEC in Pakistan is
going to give a straight boost of 2.5% to the current GDP of 5%.

So that’s some facts & figures from which I believe …

CPEC is a Real Game Changer.

Q3:- Discuss Pakistan India relations after the war of 1965?

The 1965 war between India and Pakistan was the second conflict between the
two countries over the status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The clash did
not resolve this dispute, but it did engage the United States and the Soviet Union
in ways that would have important implications for subsequent superpower
involvement in the region.

The seventeen-day war caused thousands of casualties on both sides and

witnessed the largest engagement of armored vehicles and the largest tank
battle since World War II

By September 22, both sides agree to a UN-mandated ceasefire, ending the war
that had by that point reached a stalemate, with both sides holding some of the
other's territory.
Relations After 1965:
1971 - India and Pakistan go to war a third time, this time over East Pakistan. The
conflict begins when the central Pakistani government in West Pakistan, led by
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, refuses to allow Awami League leader Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman, a Bengali whose party won the majority of seats in the 1970
parliamentary elections, to assume the premiership.

East Pakistan becomes the independent country of Bangladesh on December 6,

1971.

In 1988 - The two countries sign an agreement that neither side will attack the
other's nuclear installations or facilities. These include "nuclear power and
research reactors, fuel fabrication, uranium enrichment, isotopes separation and
reprocessing facilities as well as any other installations with fresh or irradiated
nuclear fuel and materials in any form and establishments storing significant
quantities of radio-active materials".

Both sides agree to share information on the latitudes and longitudes of all nuclear
installations. This agreement is later ratified, and the two countries share
information on January 1 each year since then.

In 1991 - The two countries sign agreements on providing advance notification of

military exercises, manoeuvres and troop movements, as well as on preventing
airspace violations and establishing overflight rules.

In 1998 - India detonates five nuclear devices at Pokhran. Pakistan responds by

detonating six nuclear devices of its own in the Chaghai Hills. The tests result in
international sanctions being placed on both countries. In the same year, both
countries carry out tests of long-range missiles.

These are some dates that I think better describe the relation between Indo-Pak.

And that relation will go on forever as if it’s written in both our destiny.

Q4: Discuss the impact of media in the Cultural Transformation

of Pakistan
The social & cultural life of any society & country is always changed by the
passing of the time. Although such changes are come into existence by the
adopting of bad & good Habits but it is always noted that a few persons are
adopting the good habits and prove themselves as a good civilized citizen but
most are adopting bad manners of habits and it is the main reason that most of the
young generations have adopted bad habits because of lack of control from the
sides of their bad minded parents who are encouraging their youngs to adopt the
bad manners of habits and it is the main reasons that the social life of this
motherland country of Pakistan is badly affected in the form of inhumanity,
corruptions, non-respecting of old-aged persons, the un-satisfactory, improper,
and descending type standard of education etc and so many others factors that are
described below:

1: Present Media
• The present media is introducing un-islamic culture in order to diverging the new
generation away from adopting their right path of life which were instructed by
our religion of Islam.
• 18% age educated persons who can read the Urdu language but it is very pity to
say that there is no any standard and good newspapers of Urdu language in
Pakistan.
• Although there are some good things like to stay updated about what is happening
in the world right now.

2: Religion
• Islam has very prominent presence in Pakistani society. Mass media has proved
instrumental in weakening religious institutions and thus isolating people from
religion. For instance, people are tempted to shun religious obligations like
routine prayers and funerals etc.
• But it’s also depend on the person weather to choose good or wrong.
• No doubt that we can search for all the answers for our religion that was once
difficult to find for a person when there was no media.

3: Terrorism
• Beards and burqas are associated with terrorism due to propaganda manipulation
available 24/7 on news channels.

Conclusion:
Mass Media has made almost every Pakistani citizen surrender his respect for
traditional values, religious morals and practices. Meetings with elders, attending
of traditional festivals and prayers have almost completely lost their importance.
They are changed by texting on mobile phones, playing video games, watching
movies and socializing over social media networks. But at the end of the day there
are some good people that thinks that new media can’t change us. We can use it to
evolve ourselves by being in the right path
