PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Abu is eating a burger.

He is walking to school.

Sentences above show the action is happening at the time of speaking. They are called
Present Continuous Tense. We add auxiliary verbs such as ‘is’, ‘are’ and ‘am’ after the
subject and ‘+ing’ to the main verbs. Present Continuous Tense is used to show the action is
happening at the time of speaking.

Abu is eating a burger.

He is walking to school.

Jane is doing karate.

Paolo and Jane are playing chess.

I am riding my bike.

He is having lunch.

Sentences above show the action is happening at the time of speaking. We add auxiliary such
as ‘is’, ‘are’ and ‘am’ to complement the sentence.
