independent and can quickly launch products featuring the animal-free dairy
proteins.
The document, which will be used by the federal government for the new official
guidelines for a healthy diet, encourages more consumption of fruits and
vegetables, and less red meat, alcohol and sugar.

animal-free dairy company's Series C cash raise to $300 million and bolsters
its sustainability claims.
The plant-based snacks company will use the investment from the Mexico-
based seeds and grains producer to expand capacity and increase marketing.
Made with a blend of chickpea flour and yellow pea protein, the new
ingredient is intended for meat substitutes ranging from hamburgers
and chicken to fish and pork.
The research, done by Kroger and the Plant Based Foods Association, found
consumers spent more and got a greater variety of items when the products
were not in a separate section.
Simulate, the new company, brought on two industry veterans and has plans to launch a
spicy version of its nuggets, chicken patties and hot dogs.
Grocery demand for fresh or frozen plant-based meats surged 300% in March, while
store sales of Impossible Burger have more than doubled every month since April,
according to David Lee.
The Cookout Classic 10-packs have a suggested retail price of $15.99 or $1.60 per plant-
based patty and are only available for a limited time.
