After three consecutive years at the numero uno position, Nokia has

This year’s survey captures the rise of mobile telephony. Vodafone has
been one of the key players in this segment.

9 MAGGI
A Maggi 2-minute noodle is one of the most loved food brands in India.
Over the years Nestle has launched many flavours of this brand.

10 CLOSEUP
Closeup was India’s first gel toothpaste launched in 1980. HUL has
marketed Closeup as being synonymous with ‘Freshness’.

11 COCA-COLA
Coca-Cola has moved up from 23rd position (overall rank in MTB 2010)
to 11th position this year. In the beverage (cold) category, it has
emerged as the winner followed by Thumbs Up.

12 FAIR & LOVELY

Developed in 1975, Fair & Lovely is marketed as a fairness cream. HUL
claims that Fair & Lovely is its largest skin-brand.

13 TATA SALT
Tata Salt was launched in 1983 as was marketed as the first national
brand of packaged salt in India. Over the years it has been among the top
brands in the Most Trusted Brand Survey.

14 CLINIC PLUS
HUL markets shampoo brand Clinic Plus for both mom and daughters
and claims to be the largest selling shampoo brand in India.

15 SUNSILK
Hair care brand Sunsilk was launched in 1964 and Unilever claims the
sales of this brand is more than $1 billion a year.

16 THUMBS UP
BE’s Most Trust Brands 2011 has revealed some interesting findings:
for instance in Vizag, Thumbs Up is the most trusted brand overall but it
is not doing as well in Trivandrum.

17 VICKS
Procter & Gamble owned Vicks provides effective relief for cough,
nasal congestion, sore throat, runny nose, fever, and related symptoms in
children and adults.

18 POND’S
Pond’s was invented in 1846 and is produced by the Ponds Institute
which is owned by Unilever. The company claims that Pond’s helps in
simplifying skin care.

19 MIRINDA
Mirinda rose from 56 last year to 19 in the overall rankings. Pepsi fell to
21 from last year’s rank of 15. 7 Up (overall – 25, last year – 52).

20 BOURNVITA
Bournvita is owned by UK-based Kraft and was launched in 1948. It is
one of the oldest brands in the malted beverages segment.
