Introduction of on/off directional valve WE10.5X (RE 23340)

Product substitution of on/off directional valve WE10.3X/4X (RE 23327)

Higher operating pressure, greater flow, less weight, suitable for all common hydraulic
fluids – while the list price remains unchanged.
These are some of the advantages of the new on/off directional valve of series 5X.

WE 10.3X directional spool valves with the material numbers listed in table 1 below were set
to status “phase-out control” (AL) in August 2011. The other types of series 3X in
conjunction with concealed manual override (N9) and without manual override (no code) will
follow in October as described below. From the dates listed you should only order valves of
series 5X whenever possible. The phase-out will be completed in the second quarter of
2012, and the valves will then be set to status “order stop” (AS). After this date, the
individual substitute types (see table 1 below) must be ordered.

Dimensions

Accessories (mounting screws, subplates and mating connectors) will remain unchanged.

The new WE 10.5X on/off directional valve can be used as a 1:1 substitute for the
WE 10.3X/4X.

Dimensions and porting pattern remain unchanged.
