Introduction:-
S.M.A.R.T plan is designing a goal by the use of this technique its mean S=specific,
M=measurable, A=achievable, R=relevant, T= timely

It is a good theory for settling of goals when people have really confused to select their goal then
this theory is help people to select and provide a way to achieve it.

Specific:-
Good goals are very clear to a person that what they want to achieve in their future and based on
that they do study or practice and utilize their time for achievement of goal if you don’t have
specific goals then you need to select goals according to you interest or by measuring its all
parameters.

Measurable:-
Measurement of the goal you select is very essential. It help you to motivate and it tell you how
much you walked in path to achieve your goal or how much time more remain to achieve goal.
And it give a boost up to you in your work.

Achievable:-
Your goal is that much that you can achieve like if you do study in technical field you can’t be a
doctor for that you have to study medical. You have to set a goal that you know that it is
achievable. And you must know its path to achieve that goal that make a goal more achievable.

Relevant:-
Goal you set must be relevant to your field or your skills like I was give example of achievable if
you are doing study of non-medical you cannot be a doctor you have to set a goal that is relevant
to your study or skills.

Timely:-
You are well known about the time that how much you have to give for that goal like you want
to be managers you must know how much time it take to be manager of hotel. After diploma it
takes 2 year experience for the manager job.

 Bar manger
 Front desk supervisor
 Gaming supervisor.
 Hotel general manager.

my primary goal is described below :-

Hotel general manager:-


Hotel general manager is the head of management of hotel it is above all the manager of hotel of
all department and give an all upper plan to manage the hotel. Hotel have different manager for
different department for food and beverage department and manager for front desk manager for
housekeeping. These all manager manage according to their field but hotel general manage see
all these from above. He is over these all manager and his work is to see the full management
system of hotel and Handel all conflicts between the teams and give the clarification of their
work to them. It is very tough to manage a hotel it need multiple skills and also have a specific
pathway.

Only I can be a hotel general manager if I achieve one of them position:-

1. Front desk supervisor


2. Hotel supervisor
3. Receptionist.

For the achieving that goal I have very clear through the smart plan

Specific:-
I have a specific pathway that I select by thinking about my interest and skill and make a plan for
that that is hotel general manager. I chose it because I am very interesting in management of big
events or big system. And I am good at it. I manage many events at home.

Measurable:-
It take 2 to 3 year after my course to achieve a position of general manager to me. After my
course I have to be a hotel supervisor for achieving the position of hotel general manager. For
that I need good skills of supervision. I have good communication skill and management skill
and also have good leadership skills.

Achievable:-
Hotel general manager is a achievable goal by good study and by following the pathway to it and
also need good and sharp skills. We need good leadership skills, good communication skills,
good management skill. And first we have to be a hotel supervisor or a receptionist for a
receptionist I have to refine my communication skills.

Relevant:-
Hotel general manager is relevant to my filed that I my perusing my course in hospitality and
after course I can be achieve it by hard work and good skills.

Timely:-
I can achieve it in 2 to 3 years after my course and I have to do my course timely with good skill
and with good efforts.

I have 2 personal goals and 2 professional goals that are defined below

For achievement of my main goal I need to refine my personal skills

I need good management and communication skill by refining them I am more step ahead toward
my professional goal that primary is hotel general manager or for that first I have to be a good
hotel supervisor.

Individual learning plan :-


I make a learning plan using VARK, SWOT and S.M.A.R.T plan that I discuss below

VARK:-
I use my all visual auditory reading and kinetic learning skills for the development of my career I
see videos for the topics that are not clear to me and when anyone or a teacher explaining
something I hear very carefully and if I am facing any problem with the syllabus or any topic I
read books or article to clear that problem. And when I have not clear to any procedure I used to
do it. By combining all these learning skill I am improving my communication skill and
management skills.

STEP 1:- Primerly I have to complete my course with good knowledge.

STEP 2:- I have to refine my skill in time of cource as in which I am weak.

STEP 3:- After that I have to be a hotel supervisor of either be a recveptionist.

STEP 4:- Then by good work I achieve promotion to hotel general manager.
