Crestwood Elementary Physical Education Teacher (2004-Present)


Plan and deliver Chesterfield County curriculum content to a diverse population of PK-5 students, assess students' and plan
instruction to meet group/individual needs, use the curriculum of the district to plan daily instructional activities and collaborate
with other teachers in planning and delivering instruction to students. Meet individually with teachers within my school and across
the county to assist in implementing new programs or with any technology needs.

VCU Adjunct Faculty (summer 2009 - spring 2011)


Delivered HPEX 337 Technology in Health and Physical Education content to VCU Students and assessed student’s lesson plans

Richmond Kickers Soccer Club (2012-2019)


Training players, preparing them for games and tournaments. Coached players from U5 to U16. Regular communication with the
Kickers, parents, and tournament officials.

Trained players and prepared them for games and tournaments. My duties also included grade checks for players and regular
communication with the athletic director and parents.

Richmond Strikers Under 11 Girls Soccer Coach (fall 1998- spring 2000)

communication with the Kickers, parents, and tournament officials.

resource team to provide information and support as needed.

VAHPERD Executive Director (June 2006-Present)


Provide leadership in developing programs, organizational and financial plans, and carry out plans and policies authorized by the
board. This includes developing and planning workshops and conventions for members, working with the finance committee and
auditor for financial obligations of the association, collaborating with board of directors to plan and execute board meetings, and
communicating regularly with members, lobbyist and related associations.

VAHPERD Grant Project Manager (2018-Present)


Oversight of all campaign components, grant management and monitoring: preparation of contracts, monitoring, and reporting
documents, stakeholder communication and oversight of social media campaign, coordination and marketing of parent education
initiative through VDOE and local schools’ website, general reporting and communication to stakeholders, program monitoring
and evaluation, and compliance with DMV grant requirements – i.e., applicable laws, regulations and policies; statement of work,
special conditions, and approved budget; general terms and conditions.

Provided leadership and assisted the Leadership Council in conducting the business, programs, and activities of the association.
Communicated with members and state association leaders within the District.

Crestwood Elementary School Lead Technology Teacher (2005)


Disseminated information from Chesterfield County Technology Department to teachers. Assisted and supported teachers with
any questions or concerns regarding technology.

Curriculum
As a teacher, I have been a member of curriculum revision committees in Chesterfield and Hanover Counties. The committee
was responsible to update the curriculum by adding content and updating the current curriculum to align with the Virginia
Standards of Learning. While in Hanover, as a part of the school Health Advisory Board, I was involved in the committee process
of textbook adoption for Health and Physical Education

Grant
s
As an educator, I have actively sought grants to supplement my physical education program. Since 2007, I have received grants
for multiple sources, such as the USTA, ING, Marathon Kids, Safe Routes to School, First Tee, totaling over $30,000 in grant
funding. These funds have helped implement and support the schools running club, walk to school days, tennis program,
archery program, and fishing program.

Presentations
Present nationally to colleagues on various topics in Health, Physical Education, Leadership and Technology. I have been invited
and presented at several state Health and Physical Education conventions/workshops, national, state and district leadership
conferences, as well as presenting over 40 presentations at the school district, state and national level.
