Thru-Tubing Intervention

Coiled-Tubing Connector
Weatherford's coiled-tubing connector is a high-strength, external
slip-type connector that uses the mechanical wedging action of a grapple
or slips to firmly grip coiled tubing, including higher-grade coiled tubing
made of high-tensile 120K and certain chrome materials.
Dual O-ring seals in the lower body housing ensure the pressure integrity
of this tool. Its compact design makes the coiled-tubing connector a
reliable tool, ideal for re-completion and drilling workover applications.
The large ID makes it suitable for all ball-drop applications and provides
anti-rotational grip for downhole monitoring and milling applications. The
top connector sub, slips, and spacer ring are interchangeable with each
size-specific motorhead assembly as well.

Applications
—
All thru-tubing service operations: fishing, motors, milling, and packers
—
Re-completions and workovers
—
Ball-drop applications
—
Downhole monitoring applications

Features, Advantages and Benefits

—
Dual O-ring seals in the lower body housing ensure pressure integrity.
—
Compact design keeps the bottomhole assembly as short as possible
and ensures reliability, easy installation, and field dressing.
—
The large ID provides the ability to pass maximum-diameter balls to
operate other components.
—
Mechanical wedging action enables reliable gripping of all grades
of coiled tubing, including high-tensile coiled tubing, and the
anti-rotational grip needed for downhole applications requiring
torque-transmitting capabilities.
—
Interchangeability of components with motorhead assemblies of
various sizes provides operational flexibility.
