COURSE DESCRIPTION : The course is designed to provide students with activities to develop skills, knowledge and appropriate attitude and values on the Health
promotion, identification of risk factors of an individual client, family and community.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EXPERIENCE : This is a 48 hours exposure in the Delivery Room (DR) as part of student learning experience in Nursing Care Management (NCM 102-B). Their
learning experience focus on the basic nursing skills and application of nursing process in providing care to Newborn and adults with
gynecological and obstetrical problems.

DESCRIPTION OF THE LEARNERS : The affiliates are level III students divided into 3 sections composing of 40-45 students per section. They have been equipped with appropriate
knowledge on health promotion and prevention of diseases prior to exposure on the area.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES : Given a client the students will be able to apply the nursing process in meeting promoted and preventive health needs across the life span.
