 Dr. McCormick was recently hired in the past few years for Lincoln County Schools and
since then, she has worked intensively to improve communication throughout the district. When
speaking with her, she noted that she created a Facebook page called “Lincoln County Schools-
Student, Family & Community Support.” On this page, she shares all posts that are shared from
each school in the county, the local newspaper, and other valuable information for the students,
families, and Lincoln County community. The district did not have a form of communication on
social media until she pushed for it and offered to lead the page. At this time, the district does not
have a set assessment of communication and whatever gets communicated is up to Dr.
McCormick at the Central Office. Since the school closings, she has been updating the page
daily with free books, read alouds, meal services, etc. She said communication is at its peak in
Lincoln County and she plans for it to only get better with more parent engagement on the
Facebook page. The communication effort does not have any concerns at this time, but Dr.
McCormick will address those immediately as they arise.
