Hello
I have an intelli locomotive. It drives ever slower. Sometimes it stops, then it
continues. Refueling did not help!

Hello, that's funny, mostly it's really because of the tank function. However, we have
already had locomotives where the electronics no longer work properly. It is simply
due to age.

Sebastian gems

Hello
you have to refuel the locomotive to the end. But I also had a lot of dirt in the rear
axle. Does this also apply to the repair code block? What functions does the car
wash code block have?

Sascha
July 25, 2012 at 8:18 am | reply

You don't have to fill it up to the end, but then it stops earlier, the electronics
count the time.
The axles have to be cleaned from time to time, where lots of dust and fluff
collect.
There is no repair and washing system code stone from the Intelli System,
or which one do you mean?

later, I know if you drive over the repair code block, you can hold something in the
tank hose and there will be some noise, if you continue then the light flashes and

As I said, the stones are not available in the Intelli system, it may well be
that there were once for foreign markets. I haven't seen the code blocks yet.
The code blocks I have are: turning, honking, stop, refueling, cargo, train
station and tunnel.
The slats on the roof of the Intelli locomotive are for the tank function. It is
important to refuel for a long time after the tank code block, otherwise the
locomotive will start to flash and run ever slower. This is a special function of
the Lego Intelli locomotive.

Thanks for the tip. now my intellis are driving faster 😉 Often drive backwards and

intelli. There is no electronics in it anymore. I bought it on the flea market and the
contact contacts were broken. Then I screwed it on and I stuck a paper clip in front.
Then it worked reasonably. Later the locomotive was broken because I got all the
cables. But mostly it works with the paper clips. Kind

Hello Sebastian, what do you mean "diseases"? Oh, what comes to mind, I
found the code blocks you were looking for 🙂 So the repair and car wash

Intelli locomotive. These are 2 sound functions that Lego never released.
We found out that the function can be triggered by converting the code

I still have a question: do you know the new locomotives from set 3771,3772,5608
and 5609? what can you do that the locomotives do not stop when the bridge is
raised

Sebastian gems
September 3, 2012 at 10:12 | reply

I have greased the wheels, but whenever they go up the bridge they stop. I have to
unscrew the locomotive, right?

Sebastian gems
September 3, 2012 at 12:05 pm | reply

do you know what function the washer code block triggers? so I mean whether you
have to refuel or?

Sascha
September 3, 2012 at 12:13 pm | reply

So with the locomotives of the series 3771 3772 5608 and 5609 there is a sensor on
the front axle, as soon as the wheels do not turn the locomotive stops, when
traveling on bridges you have to make sure that the trailers are not too heavy so
that the locomotive does not move in front releases the rails. We did not discover a
function of the car wash, but only the sound when driving over the stone.
There is an extra code block for refueling.
I am pleased that you are satisfied with our products and service 🙂

Sebastian gems
September 3, 2012 at 12:35 | reply

I let the locomotive run without a trailer, but unfortunately I have 2 locomotives that
always stop. I don't know what is lying, but I have so much lego. I know only with the
repair code block you can insert the tank hose and the locomotive is refueled. later
in the ride the light flashes and there are repair noises, but I find it funny, in my
collection I have 2intelliloks.but both sound different, so one goes into the tunnel
with a dark sound, the other with a bright sound ? what's the reason? and one
locomotive has an open wheel and the other has protection against it. Did the other
one break off or why is it different?

Sascha
September 3, 2012 at 12:51 pm | reply

There was a new edition of the Intelli Lok, recognizable by the fender. On the first
locomotives (open wheel arch) there were pulled-in children's hair and pinched
fingers, because the locomotive had a lot of power, the rubber coating of the wheels
led to small accidents in children's hands. May be that you have also revised the
speaker or electronics. I have to try that with the repair / tank hose when driving
over the code block. That might also explain the other hole on the top of the Intelli
locomotive.

switches with rotary switches and there are also bright star stop rails. I read that
there should also be green rails. I started the train in 2010 I have taken up half of

So my offer always only relates to the gears because that's a clear thing. I am
happy to offer to take care of the error if the locomotive does not react to the code
blocks but this is not certain. I take a flat fee of 15 euros. The return shipping costs
are included, opening the locomotive and, if possible, repairing the ground contacts.

Sascha

Hello Michael,
thank you very much for the compliment. 🙂
So it's not that easy to answer. The second switch above is programmed for
a function that was never published in Germany. There is said to have been
an American version of the Intelli Railway. There were probably other code
blocks that then triggered the function. We did not find a model ourselves
and did not find any information. If we find anything about the second switch
and the extended function, we will inform you immediately here and publish
another blog article.

the internal contacts will bend.

Sascha
November 11, 2012 at 5:58 pm | reply

Hello Thomas hard to say what is broken or broken on the Intellilok. Maybe
the speaker has said goodbye. There is a lack of more precise information
on the functions that it no longer does. Does she only respond to the code
stones without sound? Is she still driving normally? Is she ringing or is she
completely silent?
Otherwise, just open the Intelli locomotive and go on troubleshooting.

Thomas
November 11, 2012 at 6:14 pm | reply

Hello
The locomotive reacts to the code blocks, but without sound. When turning, it drives
backwards and when a train driver sits in it it also makes no noise. If you push the
green button, the light flashes and it drives. But we don't trust the locomotive to
open.

I still have a question about the broken speaker. Could it have happened if there
was a little water on it, for example Switzerland, water?

Sascha
November 11, 2012 at 8:30 pm | reply

Yes, Schweis water contains a lot of salt, it can be possible, it is difficult to say.
Although there is a light protective film on the speaker, I cannot say to what extent
the water is repellent. If water really runs in, it can be broken. It is best to open the
locomotive and look at the loudspeaker. Alternatively, hang another small speaker
on the output wires to see if the sound is still produced by the circuit board.

So I also have the problem that the locomotive no longer emits any sound. The

Hello, so we have no great experience with the loudspeaker, so far we only

had a total of 2 locomotives on which no sound came out.
There was a wire on an Intelli locomotive and the electronics on the second
locomotive actually seemed to be defective.
You are absolutely right. Overall, the Lego locomotives are quite robust,
especially those from the 3325 and 3335.

The best thing is to open the locomotive and check the cables

Hello, the locomotive from the current Starter Set 5608 no longer has a sensor on
the front wheels and therefore runs continuously. Auto stop therefore only refers to
switching off after 3 minutes 🙁
Based on the intelli, these are continuous regressions. Next there are only push
cables 😉

Does anyone know what the “switches” on the rear wheels of the 5608 locomotive
should be good for?

Sascha
January 4, 2013 at 8:34 pm | reply

We also consider the current development of the Lego Duplo railway as

reverse engineering. I'm not sure if it should be austerity. First there was the
high development of the Intelli locomotive, suitable for modern times and
then there were normal electric locomotives without a floor switch which you
can now expand the auto stop function.
It is a shame that the technology in Lego toys is developing back.
The switches on the rear wheels are a pure brake.
The biggest problem is the rubber tread of the wheels, I've read in various
forums that there have been cases where hair has been pulled in or thick
carpet fluff. The switches block the wheels.

The floor switches are defective and must be repaired. If the floor switches

To the floor switches.
You can try to re-solder the floor switches because the

work.
Open the Intelli Lok, so remove all 5 screws and loosen the
clips carefully at the back (do not cancel) then you come to
the circuit board and can try to solder.

Hello

I wanted to ask why the Intelli locomotive does not come up the black bridge. Is the
locomotive defective? Can the other locomotives start up? I am not familiar with it.

Sascha
February 8, 2013 at 11:20 | reply

The black rails have no grooves, since they were designed for push
locomotives. It was only with the gray rails 2734 2735 that grooves were
built into which the rubber treads of the drive wheels fit in. This allows the
electric locomotives to drive up the Gray Bridges (Duplo Ville 3774).
The only option is to stick narrow plaster tape on the running surfaces. Make
a lot of users who want to run their old black rails with the new locomotives.

Hello Tanja,
You can buy the gear of one locomotive in our shop on Ebay or by email

we also offer repair of the defective gear.
About the second Intelli locomotive: It may well be that the floor switches
have been pushed in too far, as a result of which they bend the contact
switches and no longer give contact on the circuit board.
We can also offer you this repair. The contacts may have to be re-soldered.
No experiments with paper clips, please.

Sascha
November 4, 2013 at 8:44 pm | reply

The repair can only be done with a soldering iron. The floor switches of the
Intelli locomotive are often pushed in too far by the kids, and the contact
bends metal. This can be brought back but not by bending but soldering.
The solder is the material that gives in when bending. This should then be
done by a skilled dad or mom. Alternatively, we can offer you repairs. The

If the locomotive suddenly makes no noise, it is normally not due to the

loudspeaker. Again and again we have had locomotives for repair that
already have broken sound modules. This seems to be an old age of the
locomotive. You cannot replace the micro controller in the Intellsystem.
If the locomotive makes no more noise, it is incurably defective.

Yes of course you can solder a new speaker. But always do it with caution

Hello it may be that the floor switches are no longer working properly or the
floor switches are stuck under the locomotive.

Hello 🙂
We came across Intelli locomotives for our children and are excited about it
ourselves 😉 Great
site!

Have a question about washing and repairing code stone.

We found the repair on the Internet as silver. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=U4LVJLhk-TE ) Definitely a converted tank stone.
Is there a picture of the wash stone? We have already made the sounds by pressing
the contacts 😉

Best wishes

works.

Hello, then the switch on top of the locomotive may be defective. Have you
tried the switch next to it? Did a child run a liquid upstairs? This is often a
possible cause

Sascha

Please try the other switch above. Perhaps only the switch is defective.

Hello,

We have an intelli locomotive, which despite new batteries no longer comes up the
bridge because the power of the wheels is too weak. It buzzes and can only be
pushed up by hand. after that it continues (slowly). It still worked last month.

It is very likely that the gear on the motor is broken, with more effort the
motor shaft will spin and will no longer take the gear. Another possibility is
that the engine itself no longer has enough power. But that's selling

Oh, of course, the wheels were cleaned, but the locomotive still runs without
power….

Thanks for the answer.

I had the locomotive open. But I didn't notice any broken or worn sprockets. Can
you replace the engine? Change type?

I have a question:
The infrared cargo trailer has to have a special
structure
to hear the unloading noise . Can someone tell me what these structures look like?

Sascha

Hello,
no it is not a special structure but you have to have the infrared tag. It has
the yellow-green container underneath a battery compartment with an
infrared receiver. As soon as the Intelli lok moves over the cargo code block,
it stops and activates the loading and unloading noises.

But the locomotive does that even when there is no trailer and it drives over the
code block.

Hello,

does anyone know the following behavior of the Intelli locomotive. As soon as a
locomotive driver is deployed, the individual start of the locomotive only comes, then
the engine start noise stops and repeats itself over and over again. The locomotive
is not running. Without a train driver, it runs without problems. I already opened the
locomotive and examined this rubber switch which switches the contacts.
Unfortunately, the behavior is the same without this rubber switch.

Hello
you have to press the green switch after the locomotive driver sits in it. Then
it starts. The noise is normal

Hello,

Since the cargo code block is rare and expensive, I

modded a Carco from a stop code block.
If someone wants to know how it works I post this here.
15 minutes.

Hi,
yes, yes, gladly! The hobbyist's soul is happy. I would very much like to
know. Maybe someone also knows how to make a workshop stone?

Hi Sascha,

I have a question about the trailers from 3326 and 3327. are they really identical?
According to Peeron.com, there are different followers because of the programming.
According to Bricklink.com, it should be the same.

You also write that the trailers are identical and only differ in their structure.

Can you check that again if necessary?

Regards
Patrick

Hey Patrick,
So the two followers are one and the same platform. The sound function
after detection of the infrared signal from the Intelli locomotive is only
triggered by the rubber knobs on the trailer. The trailer has the rubber knobs
as switches for the cargo containers and the cases for the station function.
So the trailer triggers the noise by infrared signal because the containers are
loaded or the suitcases (green blue purple) are loaded. Now the structure
decides in the function to be used. Cargo containers or people with
panoramic glass roofs. Both bodies are used on the same trailer, depending
on which code block I want to use, the body is exchanged.
Best regards
Sascha

Hello, first compliments for this page! I bought a Duplo train at the flea market for my
daughter. And only after we found this page did we realize what a great part this
locomotive is, which for reasons that are inexplicable for us at first only went
backwards….
However, with our Intelli locomotive only the red driver, not the yellow one. How is
that possible? And couldn't you convert one code block into another simply by
shortening the bumps on the stone on one side or sticking something on the turning
block on the other side?
Thank you and best regards!
