Sarah Beck will be taking over PreK-2nd grade support and I will be Media: sharing 2nd grade with her and continuing supporting our 3rd and 4th graders as their counselor. Our department is here to support your family, whether we are learning • Facebook virtually or in-person. Our focus is meeting students’ and families’ needs to help • Instagram students learn and grow. This support might take many forms, such as one-on-one • Twitter counseling, small groups, class lessons, and collaborating with families and teachers. As we begin the school year, we wanted to share a few tips for this unprecedented virtual year. We hope these will make your transition as smooth as possible: ~ Start practicing daily routines such as bedtimes, wake-up times, and meal times to get in the habit of a more structured school-day schedule. Ms. Beck is joining Mrs. Hoge is the 3rd-4th Dan Mills this year grade school counselor as the preK-1st (with 2nd grade shared). grade school She is starting her 9th year counselor (with 2nd as a school counselor, grade shared). If her and her 7th year at Dan name sounds familiar, Mills. Mrs. Hoge holds an you might have met her M.Ed in School Counseling before- she spent last and Counseling fall at Dan Mills as Mrs. Hoge’s intern and is excited Psychology from MTSU to start her first year as a full-time counselor! and a BBA from Belmont University. She is currently Ms. Beck holds an M.Ed in Human Development working towards licensure as an Education Specialist Counseling and a B.S. in Elementary Education and and Licensed Professional Counselor. Mrs. Hoge is Child Studies from Vanderbilt University. She is from Greenville, IN and enjoys swimming with her originally from Paducah, KY, and enjoys hiking, doing children, walking the dogs with her husband, yoga, baking, and taking cute pictures of her dog. This learning, spending times with friends and family, and year, Ms. Beck is excited to build relationships in eating tacos.
