I’m excited to announce that we have added to our school counseling department at
Dan Mills this year! Sarah Beck will be taking over PreK-2nd grade support and I will be Media:
sharing 2nd grade with her and continuing supporting our 3rd and 4th graders as their
counselor. Our department is here to support your family, whether we are learning • Facebook
virtually or in-person. Our focus is meeting students’ and families’ needs to help • Instagram
students learn and grow. This support might take many forms, such as one-on-one • Twitter
counseling, small groups, class lessons, and collaborating with families and teachers.
As we begin the school year, we wanted to share a few tips for this unprecedented
virtual year. We hope these will make your transition as smooth as possible:
~ Start practicing daily routines such as bedtimes, wake-up times, and meal times to get
in the habit of a more structured school-day schedule.
More Info:
~ Choose a learning spot in your home to help transition between work and play.
~ Encourage a growth mindset in your family by using phrases such as “I can do hard
