Guiding Behaviors
"As a professional services organization, we’re only as good as our
people. We want to support you and help you develop, which is why we’re
focused on providing tools and resources to help you grow professionally.
These five guiding behaviors provide better measures of how we all are
able to deliver on our core values of client-first, integrity, independence
and having a conservative, long-term view. By focusing on these
behaviors, we can grow together to continue to deliver on our vision of
being the premier alternative to Wall Street."

– Chairman & CEO Paul Reilly

Let’s Grow Together

By building strength in five key behaviors, we can leverage our individual
abilities to better serve clients, drive business growth and accelerate our
own professional development to enable career success. These behaviors
were identified using input from managers and associates across the firm,
with a focus on what capabilities will be required to help us continue our
success story. As a result, these five behaviors are tailored to Raymond
James culture, values, and mission. By building strength in five key
behaviors, we can leverage our individual abilities to better serve.

Grow Work with and Make prompt, Take ownership Contribute to the
professionally through others to pragmatic and hold self and continuous
and inspire achieve desired choices and act others evolution of the
others to do the outcome with the client in accountable for firm
same mind delivering results
that matter

• When we develop professionally and inspire those around us, we grow.

• When we collaborate with others to accomplish goals, we grow.
• When we decide quickly and wisely and act with clients in mind, we
grow.
• When we hold ourselves and one another accountable to deliver results,
we grow.
• When we generate innovative ideas to continuously improve, we grow.

P a g e |8
Applying the Guiding Behaviors
We all “do” these behaviors differently depending on our role – an investment
analyst collaborates differently than a department head; a branch manager has to
be decisive in different ways and about different topics than a customer service
representative. The table below will help you self-identify which group your role falls
into, and you can talk to your manager or HR business partner about your group
and which one you will hold yourself accountable to.

Four Groups of Leaders

Group Name Scope of Role Example Roles

Individual Role primarily Customer Service Representative

Leader includes own Investment Analyst
work Product/Project Specialist
Sales Associate

Leader of Role primarily Supervisor

Others influences Process Owner
others’ work Front Line Leader
