PROJECT MANAGER | THOMAS
SANDENE
PARTNERS | STATSBYGG / MINISTRY OF
CULTURE
Statsbygg is constructing a new national
museum for art, architecture and design
in Oslo for the Norwegian Ministry of
Culture. NGI is subcontractor in terms of
geotechnical advise, engineering geology
and environmental engineering.
Offshore energy
Internationally sought after
geotechnical consultant.
Our most important customers
are major energy companies and
their subcontractors.
We have led a number of
international research
programmes for the offshore
industry and collaborates with
research institutions worldwide.
Offshore energy
Case: DONG – offshore wind park
Borkum Riffgrund 2
TIMEFRAME | 2016 - 2018
COUNTRY | GERMANY, THE NORTH SEA
PROJECT MANAGER | AUDUN HAUGE
PARTNER | FRAMO
DONG Energy are developing an offshore
wind farm in the German sector of the
North Sea. NGI will install 20 offshore
wind turbine bucket foundations, called
Suction Bucket Jackets.
Natural hazards

resulting from avalanches, debris
flows, landslides, floods and
earthquakes.
We are internationally recognised
experts in assessing the risk of natural
damage.
We assess landslide, rock fall and
avalanche risks and operate landslide,

Natural hazards
Case: Risk assessment for the
municipality of Stryn
TIMEFRAME | 2016 - 2017
COUNTRY | NORWAY, STRYN
PROJECT MANAGER | FRODE
SANDERSEN
PARTNER | THE NORWEGIAN WATER
RESOURCES AND ENERGY DIRECTORATE
(NVE)
NGI often conducts hazard zone maps for
NVE, municipalities and private
developers. Mapping is a useful tool in
land use planning to ensure that no
settlement remains prone to avalanches.
Environmental Engineering
Specialists within geotechnics,
geology, environmental chemistry,
hydrogeology, microbiology and
monitoring technology.
Key expertise; surveying,
monitoring, risk assessment,
measures assessment and follow-
up of clean-up.
NGI has led a number of research
programmes within environmental
technology and collaborates with
research institutions worldwide.
Environmental Engineering
Case: Folldal mines
TIMEFRAME | 2014 - 2015
COUNTRY | NORGE, RØROS
PROJECT MANAGER | MARIANNE KVENNÅS
PARTNER | NORWEGIAN ENVIRONMENT
AGENCY
Folldal Plant delivered copper, zinc and
sulfur in over 200 years. Copper-containing
tailings with polluting runoff to the salmon
