Modesty is a necessity for Muslims - But are Muslim naturists or Naked Muslims breaking the
religious laws of Islam?
Muslim Naturists / Islam and Nudism - Nudism is basically defined as the social practice of
being unclothed in a social setting. Islam is a faith where modesty plays a critical role, and
nudity is prohibited in most scenarios. The Prophet Muhammad is reported to have instructed
Muslims to cover and safeguard their naked private parts, only showing them for their
partner. The Qur'an has special instructions regarding nudity and the exposed flesh. It
educates Muslim women that their naked body may be beautiful but that attractiveness is not
to be shared with the world.
