Caregiving: at The End of This Chapter, The Students Are Expected To
The end-users of the caregiver's services are people who are mostly
physically-deprived either temporarily or permanently. In this chapter, the
students are prepared to become well-equipped with the necessary skills to
ensure the fast recovery of clients, make the clients live normally or help them
become self-reliant in the near future. While providing care, the caregiver
should also possess the necessary techniques to keep himself/herself and other
people around him/her safe and healthy.
Learning Outcome
At the end of this chapter, the students are expected to:
Identify the tools and equipment used in caregiving.
Perform calculations related to caregiving.
Identify the policies and procedures in implementing and monitoring infection
control.
Practice occupational health and safety procedures.
