Inbound logistics
For paper manufacturing in Kraft process the major raw material consumed is Hardwood and
Bamboo. Physically around 3.78 MTs of Hardwood is required for producing 1 MT of paper.
The major inbound logistic activity in operation of JK paper includes:
Raw materials like:

3. Imported softwood chips

1. Chemicals (Chlorine, Caustic, Sulphuric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Starch, PCC and
Nitrogen etc.)

The Suppliers of the products are in the given Table
At first the raw material i.e., hardwood and bamboo are converted into chips in the chipper and then it
is forwarded to digester for cooking. The chips converted into pulp and then it is moved through
washing, screening and bleaching to give final pulp. The final pulp is then sent to paper machine for
paper making. After paper making it is moved through paper finishing and then it is sent to market
directly.
