POSITION TITLE IT Officer

DIRECTORATE Operations

REPORTING TO MIS/Database Manager/ Director Operations

Job Summary
He/ She will be responsible for the IT Setup of the Authority including its sub offices. Will
coordinate and assist every section of the Authority in matters pertaining to computers, hardware,
software and trouble shooting. He/ She will also be the technical focal person of equipment and
accessories. The incumbent will also keep all the setup secure from breaches and keep the
software’s updated.

Education & Qualifications


BBA IT, BCS. or equivalent qualification in the field having at least 7 years’ extensive hands-on
experience in various organization.

Age
Maximum 35 Years

Experience
7 Years of experience at reputed national and international organization with the capacity to take
pressures and meet short deadlines.
Skills & Abilities
 Knowledge and understanding of the current and developing strategic information
requirements.
 Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology.
 Knowledge of database and related software.
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a
wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
 Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
 Strategic planning and advanced leadership skills.
 Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge
information services technology.
 Ability to provide strategic guidance and counsel to clientele in the assessment and
development of existing and/or proposed systems.
 Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Job duties & Responsibilities

 Maintain the IHRA’s Management Information Systems and to advise on matters relating
to Information and Communication Technology.
 Ensure the availability, performance and security of IT systems and applications at the
Authority.
 Perform systems, network, communications and data base management and
administration.
 Set up, configure and maintain computer systems and issue password and login.
 Prepare tender specifications and advice on the selection of computer hardware and
software, as required.
 Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance of hardware and systems software.
 Design, develop, implement and update the website of the Authority.
 Carry out assessment of and relevant audit of firms under the Certification Schemes
operated by the Authority.
 Carry out internal audits of the quality systems of the Authority.
 Assist in designing web pages for accreditation, training, complaints, fees and penalties
deposit etc.
 Perform such other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to
the delivery of the output and results expected from the IT Officer/Systems Administrator
in the roles ascribed to them according to their postings.
