The Continuity Plan - Hybrid Model

Thanks to the work of our staff and community we have devised our Hybrid Model for Reopening for the 2020-21 school year.
It is based on guidance from the State Department of Health and State Education Department and is subject to New York State
approval. This model looks to maximize in-person instruction while safeguarding student and staff health. It also includes a
heavy focus on social-emotional and mental health supports with time built in on Wednesdays for ongoing planning, feedback,
reflection and professional development. All students learning remotely on Wednesdays will allow for deep cleaning and
sanitizing of classrooms and buildings. Note the Aug. 14th deadline to request full-remote learning.

ALL STUDENTS ATTEND IN-PERSON Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

K-6 Wednesday is for remote learning. Teachers will provide work in a variety of ways for students
to complete independently. In-person specials will continue to be offered but will be reduced and
adjusted due to safety measures.

IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION TWO DAYS. Students will be split into two groups by alphabet and

7-8 household.

Group 1: In-person instruction Mondays/Thursdays; learn remotely Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.
