• China is very divers
• Same line of consumer products might not be soled every province of
China.

– After 155 years of British rule got reverted to China in 1997.
– SAR now makes major economic decisions at its own except
foreign affairs & defense.
– HK $
– HK is free society with legally protected rights.
– HK is the largest investor in Mainland China with over $100B.
• Taiwan
– Taiwanese companies have invested over $50 B in China. About
250,000 Taiwanese-run factories are responsible for about 12% of
China’s export.

• Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation
– Founded in 1989
– Includes all major economies around the pacific rim
from Russia to Chile to Australia
– It is a forum for 21 member economies with the aim of
promotion of free trade.
– Headquarter: Singapore.
