Purpose of protocol

# PTLC (preparative TLC) is used for purification of sample in tough-separable mixture.

# Primary purpose is getting analytically pure sample.

# Usually you cannot determine precise yield because of inefficient extraction from scraped silica gel.

TIPS
# Generally, it takes very long time to develop full-size PTLC. This may cause undesired decomposition.
Half-size PTLC is highly recommended.

# If the sample is difficult to be separated, develop twice or more than using big TLC. This is faster way !

# Recommended loading amount : 0.5mm thick = < 10 mg; 1.0 mm thick = < 50 mg
(Max. loading amount : 0.5mm thick = 25 mg; 1.0mm thick = 100 mg)
