This curriculum guide on Dressmaking leads to National Certificate Level II (NC II). This course is design for a high school student to develop knowledge, skills, and attitude to
perform tasks on Dressmaking. It covers three competencies that a grade 10 Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) student ought to possess namely: 1) Produce ladies skirt; 2)
Produce ladies blouse and 3) Produce ladies trousers. The preliminaries of this specialization course includes the following: 1) Explain core concepts in dressmaking; 2) Discuss the
relevance of the course 3) Explore on opportunities for dressmaking as a career.
Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding on the concepts, theories and principles related to drafting and cutting basic / block patterns for casual apparel.

Performance Standard
The learner plans, designs, takes body measurements, drafts / block pattern and cuts final pattern for casual apparel
