4 boxes of different size
Eight small blocks of same size, 2 red and 6 blue
3 rectangular blocks of larger size, one red and 2 blue
2 large square blocks, 1 red and 1 blue
A set of eight coloured diagrams showing the final positions for each of the nine sub-tests

b. Instructions: This is a test which has 20 itmes. There are 2 options for every item given. You have to tick
the one which is most preferred by you, or which suits you the best. There is no time limit but try to
answer the questions immediately without giving much thought and the options which feels is
favourable. Once you’re done kindly submit the sheet to me. Please let me know if you havent
understood the instructions.

IT was checked wether the subject has answered all questions or not.
 It was made sure that the subject didn’t waste too much time on each item and marked the option
instantly.

INTROSPECTIVE REPORT

SCORING:
The scoring table is drawn which has time limit, full scores and subject’s score for each design.
The time taken for each design under the maximum time limit is noted in seconds.
In all the case where the subject exceeds the maximum time limit is considered as a failure and the
score is nil for that test.
Where success is achieved within the time limit, the score depends on the time taken which can be
referred through the score table provided in the manual.

The total of acquired scored is calculated which gives us the raw score. The maximum raw score which
can be obtained through this test is 45.
The raw score obtained by the subject is then referred in the Age norms provided in the manual.
The subject got a raw score of____________ , which gives the Mental Age of _________ when
referred in the table.
In calculating I.Q.s all persons over the age of 16 are to be presumed to be of 16 years of age. Which
means the Chronological Age will be 16 years, i.e. 192 months.

IQ is then calculated using following formula-

RESULT AND INTERPRETATlON

The main objective of this practical was to know the IQ level of the subject using PASS ALONG TEST.
It is a performance test where the subject had to solve the puzzle by making the pattern given in the
designs provided.
This IQ test was in the form of speed test where the subject is assesed on the basis of how fast he/she
can solve and complete the problem. There were total 9 problems in the form of designs given to the
subject, with the increasing level of difficulty in each design
The subject was confortably able to finish all the designs within the time limit. He/she was able to
understand the logic and was quick to make the patterns within few attempts. The subject found
_______ design as the most hard one where he/she took _________ sec.

The subject took more time in the ------------- design as she/ ghe got stuck at a particle point. There was
also a failure in the design when asked in the introspective report the subject justified that he/she
found it extremely difficult but due to practice he was able to continue with the next one easily and
completed the next2 designs witing the time limit.

The Mental age of the subject using the test was found to be ----------, which gives the IQ of

This IQ when refrred to the Stanford–Binet classification of Intelligence table gives the category to
which the subject belongs to. The IQ of _________ lies in the ____________ category. Which means the

CONCLUSlON
On the basis of the pass along test, the subjects IQ was found out to be ________, which means my
subject has Above Average Intelligence.
