In order to appropriately meet and surpass the expectations of this course I had to learn
how to function as both a team leader and team member while taking into account time
management aspects and cultural issues that might pertain to the project or community in which
these skills were applied. I was able to learn what certifications/licenses were necessary and
obtained a few FEMA independent study certifications while attending this course. I learned to
lead, follow, and manage within a team and utilize resources appropriately; This has greatly
benefited my value for prospective employers and their organization. By having this knowledge
I have become a better team member and team player, more culturally aware in terms of
emergency management and how to appropriately manage time and resources available to me.
I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to further their knowledge in what
it takes to become an emergency management professional. This course provides the learner
with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a well rounded, high functioning member or
