1. IBDP is one of the most internationally recognized

educational curriculums out there. It allows a student to
use their knowledge to the fullest. It will allow me to use
my curiousity and research skills. It will also challenge me
and keep me busy always as it’s a demanding curriculum.

2. I have chosen Physics HL as I am interested in fields which

incorporate Physics in them. I am also interested in
physics hence I wanted to take it in IBDP as well. The
concepts taught are also interesting hence I want to learn
more about it and research on them.
3. My expectation is that I will learn more than I already
know. I also hope to incorporate the ib learner profiles
properly. I hope to also develop a healthy relationship
with my peers and teacher. I hope that I can learn a lot
from the teacher and partake in many fruitful
conversations about the content and topics.

4. Teacher expects us to respect him during class time. He

expects us to be quiet so that he can explain the concepts
properly to us. He also expects us to be academically
honest and I understand that if we maintain all those that
he asks of us the learning process can be smoother and
easier.
5. CAIE is more based on a strict syllabus. IBDP has a
expanding syllabus. IBDP students learn in a less lecture
oriented way and they depend more on research instead
of textbooks. The learning concepts are also more open
ended. IBDP also integrate IB learner profile.
6. Physics syllabus consists of topics such as measurements,
uncertainties and errors, scalars and vectors, imaging
instrumentation, fiber optics etc. Lab work in class counts
towards class hours. HL has 240 Hours in total with
International assessment and lab project with a report that
counts as 20% of IB exams scores.

7. Nature of science is concerned with description,

prediction and understanding of natural phenomena
based on evidence from observation and
experimentation. For example: Advances in medicine
Has made life easier but at the same time contribute to
new problems like reduction of natural resources

8. Physics is an experimental science that observes the

phenomena of nature and tries to find patterns that
relate to these phenomena. These patterns are called
physical theories that are widely used in physical laws
and principles.

9. International-mindedness is a view of the world in which

people see themselves connected to the global
community. It is a recognition of balancing the complexity
of relationships of all nations and people and thnking
globally.

10. Group-4 project is a project that has to be

completed within a span of 4 months and is
an essential part in order to receive the IB diploma. It
requires research of a certain topic for a few weeks
and a presentation of that topic. Constant
documentation is required for this kind of project.

11. Physics requires imagination and open-mindedness as it is

an evolving experimental science that requires students to
think complexly in order to solve problems in various
methods using different theories and equations. TOK
requires students to be knowledgeable about the nature of
knowledge and be open-minded about knowledge itself.
Both physics and TOK requires students to think with both
their hearts and their mind so they can link the subjects
properly.

12. The assessment process is a constant cycle of

improvement. Data collection is on-going and
after implementing an assessment process, teachers
measure student learning outcomes..They analyze
the results obtained and use those results in order to
make necessary changes to the program in order to
help the students advance their learning and improve
the results.
