Skr Mounting When, for any reason, the reduction of clearance cannot be measured | during mounting, use the values of axial displacement of the inner ring | relative to the taper shown in table 57-1. The starting point of the displace- ment measurement is the position of the bearing in which the inner ring makes good all round contact with the tapered seating. With the bearing in this position, measure the distance to a reference face on the roll neck, e.9. | | the end of the neck, and drive the bearing up the taper by the amount shown ; in table 57-1 ' | Table 57-1 { Internal clearance reduction and Bearing bore Reduction in | axial dive up when mounting fl stearance’) Towa 30 spherical roller bearings on tapered | over _ incl. min max min max scotings et a f 6 4 0.180 7 425 0.170 19 475 675 0180 2 3 5 8 0210 2d ag 6 25 0230 26368 65. 0260 adel 778 10 0.280 33 44 82 1 0320 a8 925 125 0350 a 54 10138 0400 4g 62 M5. 155 0450 (Pier 133° 175 0500 57 7B 43° 195 0550 Sayer 6s keel 0.600 68 yee 060 6 7488 185 25 0720 83 108 Gio *) When mounting bearing having C3 or C4 clearance, the maximum valves fr clearance reduction should be applied whenever possible.” 197
