B.: OBSERVATIONS & DETAILS OF INSPECTION ACTIVITIES CARRIED (Including REMARKS if any):

1. One sorbitized wheel with 15mm extra material on thickness on one side was
offered for inspection. There was a step down of 10mm depth from OD at one
spot as shown below for checking depth of hardness. Although OD found 441mm
against required 440mm. Collar thickness at the same spot was found 153mm.
Hence there may be shortage of material at the corner spot of 6-7mm.

2. Hardness checked on two spots on collar OD and found 352-357BHN and at 10mm
depth 342-344BHN. Accepted against required 320-350BHN up to 10mm depth.

3. One separate test piece of 50mm diameter stamped for product analysis.

C: Conclusion:
Hardness up to depth of 10mm found acceptable.
