INTERVENTION PROGRAM FOR ANTI-BULLYING

Anti-Bullying Program: “It Starts with YOUth”

Bullying has been a prevalent issue in school ever since, although it just recent that the issues has been given light. Republic
Act No. 10627, also known as the “Anti-Bullying Act of 2013,” defined bullying as acts (written, verbal or physical) which cause
emotional or physical damage to property or to the victim which hinder the education process. Cyber-bullying, or bullying through
the use of electronic media, also contributes to this problem, especially in this modern era where communication can be done easily
through the use of different social media sites.

Through the implementation of RA 10627, schools are now required to come up with programs that will help in the prevention
of such cases in the educational environment. It is the duty of the school to provide programs in which bullying can be minimized and
to some extent, be avoided totally.

Rationale: The Anti-Bullying Program: “It Starts with YOUth” aims to emphasize the role of the students in preventing bullying
in the school. It is designed according to different programs that the guidance office can provide and share in order to
help in the endeavour. It is anchored on Positive Psychology, which focuses on the positive attributes of an individual, rather
than the negative.
