So what can you look forward to from SolveTech?

We provide a number of
game-changing tools to boost your production efficiency and overhaul your
ROI. Our key plastic thickness inspection tools include:

 FX2100 – The FX2100 is a single-channel gauging system designed to

monitor thickness on non-conductive materials. Ideal for narrow web
products and thin or difficult to measure films, the FX2100 is a direct
descendant of SolveTech’s original 1986 systems. The single-channel
system promises high resolutions and high speed, and all the ease-of-
use and reliability that SolveTech is proud to offer.

 MultiChannel Array Gauge – Similar to the FX2100, the multichannel

array gauge is used to deliver crossweb profiles in real time with
tremendous precision. The use of multiple channels guarantees the
highest performance unit for web materials less than 60 inches in width.
With this gauge, you get 100% continuous coverage with the highest
accuracy.

 PR2000 – The PR2000 is a wonderful addition to any plastics

manufacturing, providing thickness profiles for strips of plastic film and
other non-conductive materials. Often referred to as “point to point”
measurements, the profiles can identify the material’s variability of cross
web and machine direction thickness.

1) Vision inspection
Purpose / Tests: Vision inspection is mostly used to inspect packaging
integrity and product conformance, including:
 Code validation - inspecting presence, position and formation of a code
(date code, barcode,).
 Validating the presence and position of labels.
 Checking closures of tamper seals, correct caps by colour.
 Detecting packaging content and fill levels in bottles or jars.
 Sorting food and beverage products based on marking and matching
packaging components.
 Counting products.
2) Checkweigh
Purpose / Tests: Checkweigh systems are used to reduce waste and overfill.
Checkweigh systems can support weight compliance for two standards: AQS
and non-AQS (UTML). Leading retailers have their own compliance
requirements such as the Woolworths WQA, where check weighing is
essential for Home Brand products, and highly recommended for all products.
These typically sit at the end of the line, where they can precision weigh at
required line speeds. If a product is overweight or underweight, the check
weigher will instantly remove it from the line (reject the product) and send
alert to the issue immediately, so that the same can be addressed before
producing thousands of out-of-spec products.
3) Metal detection

Purpose / Tests: Metal detection systems only inspect products for metal.

They are ideal for inspecting dry products (think flour, salt, sugar etc) and
frozen products, plus also give very good results on a wide range of other
products. Metal detection systems sit towards the end of the line in most cases
and check the “final product”.

4) X-ray inspection
Purpose / Tests: Metal isn’t the only culprit of food recalls. Glass, stone,
rubber and other contaminants can make their way into the product. By
evaluating density through the product and packaging, X-ray inspection
equipment can identify these foreign bodies. Advanced X-ray inspection
systems can perform in-line quality checks to:

o Detect physical defects.

o Measure product mass.
o Identify missing or broken products.
o Inspect packaging seal integrity.

5) Barcode scanner
Purpose / Tests: Barcode scanners ensure barcodes are present and correct
for use through the supply chain and with point-of-sale. They can inspect
barcodes on cartons, pallets and individual items. Barcode scanners can be
linked to databases using software to even check if the right barcode is on the
right product.
