Usability Test – Peanut Butter & Jelly

Purpose & Goals

The main purpose of this test is to ascertain the usability of a prepared set of
instructions and verify that the usability of the instruction set aligns with the skills
and knowledge base of the intended audience. Specifically, we will be testing the
usability of a set of instructions meant to teach even the most inexperienced of
chefs how to create the humble Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich. Please bear in
mind that this is not meant to test you or your skills in any way, and is entirely
designed to test the usability of the prepared instruction set. If at any point you
are no longer comfortable with the instructions or the test, you may simply stop
working.

Data Collection
All data pertaining to this usability test will be recorded via subject monitoring
and a post-completion questionnaire. No personal data of any test participants
will be recorded beyond their age and the gender they identify as, for data
modeling purposes.

Instructions
Follow the instructions as they are written, noting any obstacles or personal
issues you encounter with the way they are written, organized, or worded. Upon
completion of the instructions, a questionnaire will be distributed. Answer the
questionnaire as open and honestly as you can, you won’t hurt our feelings.
