Welcome to my journey. I joined SAP in February 2019. approximately one and a half
years ago.
I was selected to be in the team India, one of the five teams at that moment. My
mentor's name was Nikola, and he was in the company for about a year and a half at
that time. He was relaxed, and he tried to pass on that energy to me.
It was my first real job, so I felt a little bit nervous, I didn't know what to
expect, and will my knowledge be enough for the company's standards.

Nikola played a big role in my habituation in this company, he was patient with me,
even I asked him every single question I could ask.
Several months later, Nikola went to another company, so I was left on my own.
That's the period where you need to stand up, focus more on every problematic
situation because you don't have your guide guy who will surely answer your
question.

Approximately 8-9 months after I started working, I got mail that soon newcomer
will come, and I will be his mentor/buddy.
In the mail was written his name, and it was Miodrag. At first, I didn't even read
that mail, since we are getting a lot of mails on a daily basis.

Monday has come and a new guy came, our team lead introduced us. At first, I was
surprised since I didn't read that mail, but telling that to a newcomer was surely
not a good idea. I shifted in my head and started giving him some basic
informations.
Team lead told me to show him the entire office, which was great since I didn't
know what to do :)

Step by step, he merged into our team as a great developer and a fantastic
addition.
