CHANGE OF LENS UNIT ETC. ASSOCIATED

WITH CHANGE OF CCD ELEMENT

1. Model Name: MX-2314N/2614N/3114N/2615N/3115N/2616N/3116N,

MX-M264N/M314N/M354N/M264U/M314U/M354U

2. Description: Manufacturer of CCD element has been changed due to the discontinuance of CCD
element. In association with this change, the lens unit, LED driver PWB, lamp unit,
scanner control PWB, and optical unit have also been changed.
When replacing either the lens unit, lamp unit (LED driver PWB) or scanner control PWB
from the old parts to the new parts, all of the lens unit, lamp unit (LED driver PWB) and
scanner control PWB need to be replaced to the new parts.
Firmware also needs to be updated to the following versions.

1. When replacing either of the lens unit, lamp unit (LED driver PWB) or scanner control PWB from
the old parts to the new parts, all of the lens unit, lamp unit (LED driver PWB) and scanner
control PWB need to be replaced to the new parts.
Firmware version also needs to be updated to the following versions or later.

2. When replacing either the lens unit, lamp unit (LED driver PWB) or scanner control PWB from
the new parts to the old parts, all of the lens unit, lamp unit (LED driver PWB) and scanner
control PWB need to be replaced to the old parts. However, it does not matter whether the
firmware is old or new version.

3. On MX-2314N/2614N/3114N/2615N/3115N/2616N/3116N, please perform the following

procedure:
Action items when replacing the old lens unit with the new lens unit or replacing the new lens
with the old lens;
Target used for the auto adjustment of color balance is automatically switched due to the
replacement of the scanner (old->new/new->old) but the service target is not automatically
switched.
When the auto adjustment is carried out at the time of serving or it is done by the user,
the following procedure is required not to use the old target:

1. Enter SIM63-8.
2. Press EXECUTE.
3. Press YES.
4. Get out of SIM63-8.
5. Enter SIM67-28.
6. Press EXECUTE.
7. Press YES.
8. Get out of SIM67-28.
