Cooling load

Standard/

This is not a written stone procedure

Rule of thumb

To be able to determine cooling load requirement there is a rate

Convert it to sqft. Building area x 44btuh/sq ft

44 BTUH/sq ft that came from this formula.

In tropical countries heat index are high

Convert that square tha

473 BTUH/sqm X total building area that you have.

Divide that 12000 btuh

= cooling load in lbs already in tons\

Compute for the area AAHU

4.1 btuh/sqm x total building area. Enclosed area.

Divide that 12000 btu per tonne

Product x 400cfm

400cfm/ton= volume of air quantine required

After multiply 400cfm per ton divide that 500ft/min; which is the speed

Total space requirement AAHU in square foot

Supply air duct = volume of air quantity required /1000 = area for supply air duct

Convert it to sq m add to space AAHU

Supply air duct area
