of Three 66/22kV GIS Substations

Open International Bidding
The Central Electricity Board (CEB) is pleased to invite bids from qualified and eligible
bidders for the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Three
66/22kV GIS Substations as per requirements contained in the bidding document.
This procurement is being conducted through Open International Bidding procedures
according to the Provisions of the Mauritius Public Procurement Act 2006 as amended.
The bid document may be downloaded from the CEB or the Public Procurement Office
websites https://ceb.mu and/or http://publicprocurement.govmu.org
The bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security for an amount of MUR 20M, in the form of
a Bank Guarantee, valid for a period of 150 days as from the bid submission deadline
or up to 01 August 2020, whichever is the latest.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled on Tuesday 04 February 2020 at 10 00hrs at CEB,
Corporate Office, Cyber City, Ebène, Republic of Mauritius. Site visits for the three
substations shall be held after the pre-bid meeting of Tuesday 04 February 2020 and
on Wednesday 05 February 2020 respectively.
Bidders are requested to confirm their presence for the pre-bid meeting and site visit
to the Chairman Tender Committee at ctc@ceb.intnet.mu or fax on (230) 454 7630/32
by 24 January 2020 at latest. Bidders are also informed that the maximum number of
attendees allowed per bidder shall be limited to three only.
Bids in sealed envelopes clearly marked “CPB/84/2019: Design, Supply, Installation, Testing
and Commissioning of Three 66/22kV GIS Substations”, addressed to The Chief Executive,
should either be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the undermentioned address or
sent by courier service or registered post so as to reach the Chief Executive on or before
Thursday 05 March 2020 up to 13 30hrs (Mauritian time) at latest.

Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids shall be rejected.
Bids shall be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose
to attend in person at the address mentioned above on Thursday 05 March 2020 as from
14 00hrs (Mauritian time).
The Central Electricity Board reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to annul
the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to award of the Contract,
without thereby incurring any liability to any bidder.
