In this activity, my students are going to use Storyboardthat to create a webcomic

describing a contribution originating from either ancient China or Egypt that they have
learned over the past two weeks.

Activity Before the activity starts, I will spend the first two weeks going over the
contributions that ancient China and ancient Egypt have made in terms of
architecture, technology, etc., The first week will go over ancient Chinese
culture and their impact on the world today, and the week after will follow up
with ancient Egypt.
During this time, I will create my own storyboard and will make sure to
implement them into each lesson plan. After each lesson I will have a classroom
discussion to assess how much information the students have retained. I will
then assign the students with the activity of creating their own storyboard
using the following instructions:

1. I will teach the students how to create a storyboardthat account using

their school email, and how to log on and work with the storyboard
tool.

2. The students will then pick a contribution that they have learned over
the past two weeks, either from ancient China or Egypt, and they will
create their own storyboard scene using the website.

3. The students will have time to work on this during class, and it will be
assigned as homework to bring and share for the next class.

4. Students will be divided up into groups of three to four, where they will
compare their storyboards together before presenting what they have
learned with the class.
