Emelye realizes that she had fallen in love with Arcite even though she
wished that he had not won the night before. but Arcite was losing, so he
spoke to some guards so they could poison Palamon's warriors so that
Arcite could win and when the battle ended they proclaimed Arcite the
winner, married and lived in the palace with Emely, after a few years the
king dies and as he had no heir, Arcite takes possession of the throne and
rules for many years with Emely and her children
