3. A special diet for laboratory animals is to contain at least 480 units of vitamins. 110 units of minerals and 560 calories. There are two
mixtures of the diet available, mixture A and mixture B. 1gram of mixture A contains 8units of vitamins, 1unit of minerals and 4units
of calories. 1gram of mixture B contains 3units of vitamins, 1unit of minerals and 7units of calories. Mixture A costs 40/= per gram,
while Mixture B costs 60/= per gram.
a) How many grams of each mixture should be used to satisfy the requirement of the diet at a minimum cost?
b) What is the cost of the cheapest diet? (10marks)

(b) In a class of 35 students, each student takes either one or two science subjects
(Physics, Chemistry and Biology). If 13 students take Chemistry, 22 take Physics, 17
students take Biology, 6 students take both Physics and Chemistry, 3 students take
both Biology and Chemistry. Find the number of students who takes both Biology
