Introduction
Cricket is the second-largest sports in the world. In India cricket is like one of the religion
people goes crazy for cricket games. India provides quality of cricket players. Eden gardens in
Kolkata is the largest stadium in India. And it also makes people healthier by providing
international level stadiums it will provide Revenues for the sports authority of India. BCCI is
one of the richest board in cricket. A stadium is first and foremost the staging ground for
spectacles for masses of people. However, this utilitarian perspective is limited and it believes
the bigger implication of a stadium effect on the individual visitor And on the community it
serves. The influence of a stadium is tremendous in its immediate surroundings, and, in some
case, Can be felt around the world

Aim
India is one of the cricketing nation. But most of these venues are below par when
compared to the world standards. The aim of this project is to have a world class playing venue
for the sport with state-of-the art facilities.

Scope
India being the greatest fan of the game in the world arena needs a stadium which would
meet the world's standards where the cricket fans would enjoy the matches while sitting in the
largest crowd in the world's largest stadium.

Objectives
 To put India as a leading contender in the global cricketing arena with all
facilities, comfort to that of International standards.
 To create a forum to develop research and rehabilitation for players, umpires,
technicians, coaches and the sport itself.
 To incorporate all possible recent concepts involved in the stadium design to
make it a state of-the art stadium matching up to world standards.
 Technological infrastructure including media facilities, administration,
marketing, public relations back up.
 High standard of public seating, and hospitality.

Why Coimbatore?
Coimbatore which is called Manchester of south India and the sixteenth largest city in
India and the second-largest city in Tamil Nadu by population-wise. And it has a larger amount
of colleges comparing to the state capital Chennai. Coimbatore city has over 2million plus
population in the city. the city which has a local cricket team which plays in the Tamil Nadu
premier league (TNPL) Lyca Kovai Kings. A city that has a pleasant climate comparing to the
major cities of Tamil Nadu. The city provided some great athletes to India in other platforms of
sports. With the third edition of TNPL all set to commence on July 11, the Coimbatore District
Cricket Association (CDCA) are celebrating, as 11 players from the district have made their way
into TNPL teams.

The site is situated at the National Highway 544 (Salem to Kochi) which is a two-lane
road soon it has to be expanded to be four-laned by the National Highways Authority of India the
land Acquisition works are happening now by the government. Salem to Kochi not busy as
compared to the other roads in Coimbatore city roads. And the national highway 544 which also
connects the three major roads in the city namely Trichy main road, Pollachi main road and
Podanur road which leads to Chettipalayam The site is 16km away from Coimbatore city
because of reducing the traffic inside the city.
