How will you promote Mainit tourism?

Answer:

The idea behind tourism promotion is to make our place, “Mainit”- a destination,
and not just a pass-through along the way. So, in order to do that, there are 4
ways I will do to help promote our tourism.

First, is to create a unique slogan. The magic and spirit of our place lies in the
water of Tuasan falls. We can name “Mainit” as “Home of the Majestic Falls”.

Second, is to develop and improve our promotional materials. Let us go local, I

will encourage our fellowmen and women who has the skill in designing t-shirts,
hats, stickers and making local gift souvenirs with our barangay slogan to make
use of their God-given ability. They do not only able to share their talents but it
was also an added income in their family since it will be displayed at the local gift
stores.

Third, is the use of Social Media. The web is the main way to get in touch with
thousands of potential tourists. I will create a Facebook page, an Instagram and a
Twitter account and post something every day especially up-to-date photographs
and interviews with locals and post the interviews in the site. Creating such is
easier to do, it allows me to make friends quickly and update them constantly
regarding local happenings across their social media channels.

Lastly, is to take care of our place – with love. Love seems something obvious but
it is not, yet it is something that is felt immediately by a visitor and puts him in a
positive state. It can be illustrated in the cleanliness of our place – I can’t make
this alone, this must be a consolidated effort because the idea here is to project a
positive mindset. The more we take care of our place and the more people
behave well and feel uncomfortable to throw garbage anywhere especially in our
tourist spot, the more they will help to not to pollute.
