1. Introduction
KS – Control of Sequence

The function block is for control and supervision of sequences. KS also includes HSI control from
operator stations, as well as indications and alarms.

The KS Function Block is described in detail in the REUSE KS Function Block Detail Description
ref. /1/.

It is assumed that the user has read the REUSE AC800M Libraries Overview, ref. /3/, for the
common details for HMI parts. The Graphics is implemented according to REUSE Library
Programming Guidelines, see ref. /4/. The Colors for the Graphics is described in REUSE
Libraries Colors Overview, see ref. /5/.

1.3 Alarm Colors

The Graphic Elements and the Faceplate support both Alarm Colors based on Priority (EEMUA-
191 / YA-711) and alarm colors based on Category (NORSOK-SAS). This is configurable and
can be selected by the user. Each label and symbol in this document marked with “Priority or
Category Based Color” shows the Alarm colors according to the selected Color base. See
REUSE AC800M Libraries Overview ref. /3/ for more details.

1.4 Sets of Color Palettes

REUSE supports 2 sets of color palettes; Default and Traditional colors. This document shows
both these 2 options, see ref. /5/ for more details.

1.5 Text Configuration

All texts for the Sequence that are presented in the Faceplate are read from a General Property
aspect called ‘Sequence Texts’. This aspect is created by the Sequence programmer. The texts
are loaded from the aspect when the Faceplate is opened.

The Aspect in Fig. 1.5 shows how the Sequence texts should be named and structured.
