Aerospace is the proof that given the will, we have the capacity to achieve the
impossible. Flight is the phenomenon that dazzles me the most. To fly, we must
outwit mother nature in her own environment. The more I think about it, the more I
find myself falling for it.

My ever-growing curiosity and love for the mechanisms of heavier than air flying
machines has made me more than certain of the fact that, Aerospace Engineering will
bridge the gap between my dreams and my passion. I came to a conclusion on this
way back in 8th grade when I read the book “Wings of fire”, an Autobiography by
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. That was the day when ‘A for Apple’ turned into ‘A for
Aeroplane’.

Today 5 years on, my eagerness to pursue a career in Aerospace has not only
remained constant but has had a constant upsurge. I know that this won’t be easy
because this is what people call ‘rocket science’. But as they say, ‘Nothing worth
having comes easy’. Maths and Physics are two subjects that I've always been
intrigued by. My teachers, my family and friends have been very supportive of my
willingness to pursue a career in Aerospace abroad. Learning about properties of bulk
matter, projectile motion, gravitation and various other flight related topics in 11th
grade never felt like a burden to me. instead, I found myself going deeper and deeper
into it. Fascinated by the dynamics of it, I spent lot of time in my school labs and
library, putting up the tiniest of doubts to my physics teacher with countless questions
to which he responded with an incredible zest.

After deciding my career, the next step is to choose a college which will help me live
my dream and that is why I find your university the best suit for me. With your
esteemed university being at the forefront of research and proving to be one of the
best in the world, I would be highly obliged to be a part of your institution.

I am fully aware that career in Aerospace requires a high level of intelligence,

dedication and a lot of sacrifice. I am confident that I would meet all the above
demands and hence I appeal to the Admissions Committee to consider me for
admission and financial aid. I assure you that I will do whatever it takes to succeed in
this field with utmost dedication and perseverance.
