INTERNAL ASSESSMENTS, GEOGRAPHY- GRADE X

Students will be required to prepare a booklet on the following topics.

1)Waste Management
 Impact of waste accumulation
 Need for management of waste
 Methods of safe disposal of waste
 Need and method of reusing and recycling waste.

2)Transport in India
 Importance and significance of transport system.
 A brief about the different modes of transports in India, their advantages and disadvantages.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:
 The content should be written (black pen only) in white A4 Sheets and pinned up as a booklet with min of
10 pages and maximum of 15 pages.
 Content to be referred from the text book.
 The following pages must be included in the booklet
o Cover Page (can be decorated)-(name of the student, grade and section and name of the topic should
be mentioned on the covering page)
o Index with page numbers (second page)
o Main content (Information gathered about the topic, pictures, analysis / comparison etc…)
 o Conclusion (students’ inferences / views/ suggestions on the topic)
 The written text should be on the right-hand side of the report and the corresponding pictures/graphs/ maps
or any other graphic organisers can be pasted on the left-hand side of the booklet.
 The pages must include neatly drawn borders.
 Spiral binding of the booklet will not be accepted.
 Final Submission – June 2nd week for Topic 1 and August 2nd week for Topic 2.
