Project Title : Nitrogen Gas Injection System For Fighting Mine Fire
Mentor : Dr. Santanu Bhowmik (Asst. Professor, Dept. of Petroleum Engineering and Earth Sciences)
Description : Coal mine fires cause serious damage to the lives and property. Outbreak of fire can be dealt by injecting
gases which are capable of fire suppression.This project include how different form of nitrogen gas use to control mine fires ,
method of using this type of gases and how gas generators can be readily available in quick time at mine site.

Project Title : Back Filling Of Mine Voids Using Flyash
Mentor : Dr. Santanu Bhowmik (Asst. Professor, Dept. of Petroleum Engineering and Earth Sciences)
Description : Large underground voids that are left out because of the mining operations have been creating various
type of ground stability problems. Therefore, backfilling of mine voids is essential in order to avoid ground stability
problems in the form of subsidence.

Project : Understanding of Roof Bolting Techniques, Air velocity, Noxious gases, and calculate powder factor in
