SUMMARY 
OnBase Video provides an elevated experience for managing and delivering multimedia content, creating additional 
opportunities to incorporate video and audio into critical business processes and provide additional visibility to support better 
decision­making. OnBase Video provides optimized upload, management and playback of multimedia content, and files are 
stored in the Hyland Cloud, eliminating the associated hardware and maintenance requirements. Automatic transcoding of 
video assets into a streamable format with multiple resolutions ensures support for a variety of devices and bandwidths. 
Utilizing standard OnBase search and retrieval methods, videos are accessed and directly streamed via the document viewer 
in both the Web and Unity Clients, and video quality automatically adjusts to provide the best viewing experience.

DESIGN 

 
Video files are uploaded using the Unity Client, Web Client and Document Import Processor. Files are stored in the Hyland 
Cloud, and automatically transcoded for streaming. Using standard OnBase features, users access videos and stream them 
directly within the Document Viewer. Files can also be exported via Workflow and shared externally via ShareBase.

audio as visual inspection and evidence must be seamlessly integrated into business processes alongside relevant 
documents and data in order to ensure users have all of the information they need to make the best decisions possible. 
Claims and Underwriting Inspections in Insurance, Mortgage/Asset Verification in Financial Services and Child 
Services Inspections in Government are just a few examples of processes in which OnBase Video can be leveraged to 
elevate the experience of working with multimedia content without adding the technical challenges of storing and

required videos and that deadlines for viewing and acknowledgement are enforced.

INTERFACE 

 
Users can leverage standard retrieval methods to search for videos stored in the Hyland Cloud, and files stream directly 
within the native OnBase Document Viewer in the Unity and Web Clients. 
  
Multimedia files managed by OnBase Video support common document tasks and features like Cross References, Custom 
Queries, Folders, Workflow and more.
