SUBJECT Ad Hoc Committee on Legislative Affairs

Dear Colleagues:

The Ad Hoc Committee on Legislative Affairs (the “Committee”) will soon be discussing strategies and priorities
for the City’s agenda during the 87th Texas Legislature.

Before we meet, I am making changes to the Committee that I believe will best serve the City of Dallas in the
months ahead.

Effective immediately, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Adam McGough, who chairs the Public Safety Committee and
now leads our Regional Transportation Council delegation, is hereby appointed to the Committee. He will
replace Paula Blackmon, who is hereby removed. Cara Mendelsohn, the Vice Chair of the Government
Performance and Financial Management Committee, will now also serve as Vice Chair of the Committee.

For clarity, here are the members of the Committee:

• Eric Johnson (Chair)

• Cara Mendelsohn (Vice Chair)
• Tennell Atkins
• Jennifer Staubach Gates
• Adam McGough

This will be a critical legislative session for Dallas, and I look forward to discussing how we can best help our
mutual constituents during these difficult times.
