Requirements
This Instrument requires that you have installed the Full Version of Kontakt 5.5.2 or newer.
It will not work with the free Kontakt Player.
Each instance needs about 100-200 MB of RAM. Make sure that your computer has enough RAM to cope with your host DAW needs
and this and other libraries’ needs.
When using more instruments at the same time, a fast hard disk drive or an SSD is warmly suggested. In this instrument, though, the
problem might reside more on the CPU side (especially in Live Mode in Logic) since the polyphony count is never above 8.
Unpacking
Once you have downloaded the Install files following the instructions from the purchase email, please follow these steps:
1. The ZIP compressed files can be opened directly from your OS or using any of the applications you can easily find on the internet.
1.1. Winzip on PC for example.
Loading
Kontakt Instruments not based on the protected NI scheme, can be loaded in one of the following ways:
1. Drag & Drop the .nki file onto the main Kontakt interface.
2. Use the Kontakt Browser to find the .nki file and either Double-Click or Drag & Drop to the main interface.
Selecting Triggering
The Choco•Matic Series Engine features up to 4 parts. You trigger playback using MIDI Octave 1.
Each part is laid down on an octave on the MIDI Keyboard: Each available key is signaled on its display for each Collection:
Part 1 = MIDI octave 2
Part 2 = MIDI octave 3
Part 3 = MIDI octave 4
Each key represents a Tonal Center (a chord, poly-chord…) and when
Part 4 = MIDI octave 5 pressed triggers all of the loops for the active parts at the same time.
The color-coded keys let you select Variations to the Part, up to 11 The status of the Engine is signaled using these icons:
variations are available for each Part.
All of the B’s (B2, B3, B4, B5) are colored in red and STOP the relative part.
Ctrl-Click (PC) and Cmd-Click (Mac) set each Pot to its default value
💡 HINT: when playing live Latch Mode is the best to master, when programming parts in your DAW, Temp Mode is usually the most flexible and predictable
